I'm a "flat-lander" born and raised in North Dakota. I attended Trinity Bible College for three years, hooked-up with Amy and headed out. I finished my undergrad at Central Bible College in Springfield in 2000. That fall I started attending the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 2004. I have worked at Luther-Middelfort Hospital in Eau Claire in the Chaplaincy Dept for 2 1/2 years right before moving to Menomonie. I am currently a Chaplain (CPT) in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and have served in the US Army for a total of about 19 years.

Perfect Day Off:
We would be on a secluded northwoods camp site with little or no distractions.I would wake-up at sunrise with the Loons on the lake calling to me. I could smell pine in the air and feel life all around me. There would be dew on the grass, wood in the fire pit and coffee ready to perk. I would read the scriptures, meditating on his revelation as contained in the book and in the natural world around me. We would go fishing and actually catch fish. We would have three great meals. Each one prepared, consumed and cleaned up together. We would swim in the cool, crisp, clean lake. We would hike up to waterfalls and explore trails, flowers and wildlife. We would end the day early, tired from all the sun and fun. We would build an evening campfire for smores and we might sing some songs and give thanks together before retiring to our sleeping bags.

3 Things I want to do in life:
  1. Populate Heaven by Plundering Hell
  2. Model Christ’s love to my family
  3. Jump from an Airplane

What I like most about what I do:
I am doing what I do best. I searched many different trades for many years before God called me into the ministry. I have had many "jobs" that left me feeling discontent and even unfit for employment. After I started working in the ministry I utilized more of my natural gifts and talents and that brought a huge sense of confirmation, peace and empowerment for the challenges I faced. I love working with God’s people, in and out of the church, I love to preach and minister the Word. I love to counsel and help guide people through difficult times. I couldn’t do anything else.

Amy

Background:
Amy
I was born and raised in Montana. After high school I went to Trinity Bible College where I met my husband and later graduated from with a BA in Bible and a Minor in Christian Education. We have been married for 10 years and have two beautiful daughters. My passion has always been working with children and I am still in love with what I do.

Perfect Day Off:
There is no alarm clock and my husband gets to feed the children so that I can get up at my leisure. Upon waking I get a cup of coffee and a cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera Bread. Sunshine fills the day and I get to spend time with my husband and children doing fun activities. No errands or housework would be allowed on this oh so perfect day.
